Preparations & Dosage

Preparations

Tea / Infusion: Boil water to 200°F (93°C). Add 1-2 teaspoons of dried hibiscus flowers to a cup. Pour boiling water over the flowers and steep for 10-15 minutes. Strain and serve hot or cold, optionally sweetened.
Tincture: Combine 1 part dried hibiscus flowers with 5 parts high-proof alcohol in a jar. Seal and let sit for 4-6 weeks, shaking occasionally. Strain and store in a dark glass bottle.
