has never killed anyone. the WORST it does is destroy your foundation if you let it grow under your house. and even that's only if you ignore it for years. but it kills lyme spirochetes, breaks down vaccine spike protein, has documented activity against alzheimer's, cancer, and aging.
UK: illegal to "cause or allow to grow in the wild," can't move soil contaminated with it, mortgage lenders won't lend on properties with it, fines up to £5000
the new york, washington, oregon, california, massachusetts state: classified as a regulated invasive species, illegal to sell, propagate, or distribute. class B noxious weed, illegal to plant or transport.
so... a plant that's killed exactly zero people but treats real diseases is illegal in most of the US, while a plant that kills ~50 people per year is sold at every garden center. the ecological "invasiveness" framing is the official reason, but it conveniently lines up with the fact that the resveratrol supplement industry doesn't want easy DIY competition from a plant that grows on every roadside.
lyme disease research has been weirdly suppressed for decades. the post-vaccine injury research has been actively suppressed since 2021. the herbs that help both (knotweed, ivermectin, methylene blue, hydroxychloroquine on the pharma side) have all faced disproportionate regulatory hostility relative to their actual harm profile. you can connect the dots.
